Day 5 - Take it knife and easy

These are the knives in a cutlery set that we got as a wedding present 22 and a half years ago. They have a 25 year guarantee with them, but I'll be damned if I could find a receipt for them if they failed now!

(Oh and sorry to burst bubbles, but the 'sky' in yesterday's shot was actually a softbox that the berries were nearly lying on)

  1. Nice graphic quality with the strong diagonals and directed lighting. I like the pattern on the handles which breaks up and softens the lines, too. :) Glad you're playing, Morpie..... :)

  2. Beautiful rimlighting to highlight those shapes and patterns, and the diagonal and square composition works well. I am trying to decide whether I like the dark corners at top left and bottom right, or wondering whether there should be another couple of knives in there, but I think I actually quite like the tips of the image being blank. Sort of frames the knives well.

  3. Oh, you got me yesterday. I thought it was a cloudy sky. As for today's shot, I also did cutlery and pulled out a set that I have from my mom. I never use it although, I thought today - why? Why am I not using this all the time? I like the shot and the diagonal composition. I hope you come and visit our blogs one day soon! :-) Eury
