Day 25 - Cookies

These biscuits are called Hobnobs over here.
And in the words of the great Peter Kay on the subject of biscuit dunking:

"Hobnobs are like marines, hobnobs. They're like the bloody S.A.S. of the biscuit world, hobnobs. You dip a hobnob, it's like, 'Again! Again! Dip me again, I'm going nowhere me, son, dip me! Is that all you've got? Come on!"

  1. Great viewpoint and colour combo, I'm about to get up a get a cup of coffee (and biscuits) because of this shot - for real :-)

  2. Pretty cool shot from above. Have you considered since you cropped the side of the saucer, cropping down (although not as severely) the top also. I think it might make for a really interesting new composition.
The cookies looks tasty (oatmeal?) and with coffee.. a perfect combo. I also like whatever you used for your background. Very cool!

  3. I rather like the composition, and combination of shapes. It is also interesting that I don't mind that you cut off the cup handle... I would have thought that would bother me.

  4. Very nice photo and composition...simple black/white/gray makes those biscuit/cookies really take center stage. Oh, and is that a blurred reflection of you in the coffee? :)

  5. Curious .. I wonder about Eury's suggestion also ... a two sided crop?

  6. I don't mind the saucer being cropped, but I wish you had swung the handle around to keep it in the frame. Perhaps directly upward or diagonally upward? The viewpoint is fabulous and those biscuits look lovely and crispy.
