Day 18

Shallow DoF

This is an old lightmeter that I found lying around. Anyone admit to recognising it? :D

  1. I like your placement of the meter in the frame and there's just enough DOF to lead your eye to the red bit but allow the rest to still be legible.

  2. I like the close crop. I think it works well.

  3. Mine was a little more modern than this, but I learned on one like yours. Great shallow DoF, and the diagonal composition is very effective. Well done.

  4. Yes, I recognize it but sadly do not own one. Have no idea how it works, and all those numbers scare me. :-P

As for the shot, nicely done and perfect focus on that one portion.

  5. I had no idea what it was until I read your comment.

    Perfect use of shallow DOF!

  6. I have an old Luna Pro. I just can't stand to get rid of it but I never use it anymore...

  7. I think you caught the DOF you were looking for.

  8. I still have one in my drawer with my old repaired analogue camera and even one roll or film for a special occasion once I decided on what to choose.
I like the tiny splash(es) of red in here.
