Great lighting and colour on the first one and I love the texture on the second one. Very good job!
Unusal lighting with subtle blue and red effects in the cross cut. Nice typical wood and bark colour and texture sliding to dark in the other.
Your painting with light makes the wood look painted with paint. Very clever.
I am use to metal bars being color coded on the end, but haven't seen it done of wood before. Unusual... I do like the light and dark on the bonus image.
