Day 25

Partial Colour
I took this to mean anything from partial desaturation to muted colours. If I am wrong I'll have to recategorise it as... erm...landscape or something. And don't mention the horizon. It is intentional! :D

Alternate PP
I thought this (pretty much as shot) had more of a summer feel to it, but as it's winter here I went with the above choice

  1. Your choice is fantastic, and definitely creates a wintry feeling that is just fantastic. All that sparkly dew, and that one little bright leaf make for a lovely low-angle composition. The beautiful sun's rays shining down on your horizon are lovely too.

(And crooked horizons are just fine, as long as there are no visual cues of things that should be up straight (poles, etc.) or deadly horizontal (ANY water). Yours looks perfectly natural and aceptable to me!)

  2. Ooooh. I love the sun's rays and the dew and the way the light sparkles off the dew drops. Very inviting scene!

  3. A leaf? It looked like a tiny box to me.
The dew and sparkles look just like the trees this morning after the very thin, smooth ice layers started to melt.

  4. Oh, the light on this and the bits of sparkly dew are very beautiful. As Kim says, as long as you don't have items that make the picture look crooked, the horizon doesn't matter. In this, it simply looks like it's going up a hill and it gives the image some energy. Horizontal lines are very calm but the sparkles in this make it refreshing. I think you made the right choices. Well done.

  5. This really is lovely - and i also thought it was a little box of sorts (containing some marvelous, mysterious treasure, perhaps!!). The glow of the leaf against the partially desaturated grass is magical!

  6. I think what I like best about this shot is the hint of sunshine coming from the top and the way it makes the tops of the blades of grass sparkle.

  7. I don't like anything straight. Even my back is crooked! Oh yeah, it's a nice shot as well.P
