Chopping Board - The Return of the Rings
Ok, well they never actually visited in the first place. The chopping board did, but the title wasn't half as catchy, neither was The Return of the Dough Cutters

Day 28 - Going Spiral
It's getting near the end and things are just spiralling out of control...
...and I still can't choose between these two

Day 27 - Four square and seven years ago...
Ok, so I'm still in the running :)
(I obviously knew that all along and was just seeing who was awake - well done, Craig!)
And ok, so I'm no Abe Lincoln, but here's fourscore I mean squares.

Day 24 - Castellated Nuts
For those who don't know these nuts have castellations in them to allow the insertion of a split pin so that the nut cannot unscrew itself by vibrations.

Day 23 - Oh the Fusilli of it all!
Is it just me or do I have a pasta theme running through a lot of my contests/challenges?
Well here's another one

Day 22 - Air heads
These little guys are crimps that you generally find on the end of air hoses and the like. I added a couple of texture layers to it too.
(By the way, the gauge that you were all guessing the other day is an engine compression test gauge, which tests the cylinders in an engine to see if they have got the correct compression)

Day 18 - Rusty
Remember my piggy planter? Well this is the end (the bottom) that I cut off to make the planter. It's supposed to be a flower type thing, and the rust looks lovely when lit by the late afternoon sun.

Don't worry - this is Safe For Work!
I couldn't decide which of these to use, so I'm going to post them both

Day 15 - Piping Hot!
Believe it or not, there is no glass in this shot. It's a (macro of a) copper pipe joint - a T-piece. The light is coming in from the side and reflecting inside giving the strange looking glass effect! And no, there's no water in it either.

Day 13 - Gauge the Pressure
Ok, so it's a pressure gauge, but extra points if you can guess what specific purpose it's designed for.
Answers on a postcard please.

Day 11 - Top That
Ok, so who noticed my subtle transition to circles with yesterday's shot? I thought it was pretty clever, but I would wouldn't I?
It's Saturday night and I need a beer or two.

Day 9 - Fridge Magnet
An attractive little magnet, I'm sure you'll agree.
I decided not to give it a square crop as I liked the shadow at the side too much.

Day 8 - Switched off
I'm a little light on the puns today, sorry.

Day 3 - Malted Wheaties
Squares within squares within squares
These little blighters are a type of breakfast cereal and, if you've tasted them, you will agree they are probably also a type of cardboard.

Day 2 - Welder
Obviously when I said 'Squares' I meant 'Rectangles', but you understood that didn't you :D
I proudly give you my trusty old welder. A tool no real man should be without!

New 30 Day challenge
Today is the start of another 30 day challenge.
My theme (at the moment) is Shapes. I may try for Squares for the first week followed by different shapes each week. I hope to have an alternate set of portraits if I have the time/models.
